Video tutorial — Paying with cash and card ▶ 1:30

The customer pays part in cash and the rest by card. The order is paid once, but each part is recorded under its own method: the cash goes into the drawer, the card never does.

Switching it on#

In Settings › Modules, Payment methods card: Cash + card payment (off by default). The switch only shows when Cash and Card are both on. See the Modules tab.

At checkout#

  1. Tap the Cash + card button (a banknote and a card), next to the other methods. Methods show as large icons; the chosen method's name is written underneath. The window widens into two columns; the total is split half and half.
  2. Under Cash, tap the amount (or Pavé) and type the cash part. The Card part takes the rest automatically — and the other way round.
  3. Under the amount given, type what the customer hands over (or a quick amount): the change due shows. Garder la monnaie turns it into the cash part's tip.
  4. On the Card side: choose the terminal if you have several (several terminals). If the customer rounds up on the terminal, type the amount charged on the terminal: the excess is the card part's tip.
  5. Half and half puts both parts back to equal. The banner says Left to allocate or Too much entered until the two parts make the total.
  6. Confirm the payment.

A discount or points used meanwhile change the total: the card part adjusts, the cash part stays.

Where it shows#

  • Customer receipt: one line per method (cash, card) under "Payment", then the amount given and the change.
  • Till history and the order detail in the dashboard: the two payment lines.
  • X and Z reports: the cash part under Cash (and in the drawer), the card part under Card (per terminal if needed); the order detail shows both methods.
  • Analytics app and the report export: both methods, each with its amount.
