QodPOS QodPOS Docs

How to read this documentation

The markers used on every page: roles, modules, settings, videos.

Before you start

  • For 🧭 Manager 💳 Cashier 🍽️ Waiter 👨‍🍳 Kitchen

This documentation is written by task: each page answers a question like "how do I…". You do not have to read it all, nor know any technical vocabulary.

Finding your way#

  • On the home page, pick your role (manager, cashier, waiter, kitchen): you only see the guides that concern you.
  • Or type a few words in the search bar — press the / key to jump straight to it.
  • The left menu groups pages by topic: Till, Floor, Kitchen, Management, Settings…

Markers on a page#

Every page starts with a Before you start box that tells you:

MarkerWhat it means
ForWho it concerns: manager, cashier, waiter or kitchen.
ModuleA feature your subscription may or may not include. If it does not show up for you, it is not switched on: ask your QodPOS contact.
SettingA switch to turn on in Settings. Many features are off by default so your habits do not change.

Coloured words, like SettingsTill, are the exact labels in the app: look for them on screen.

Videos#

Each topic has a short video tutorial, placed under the relevant heading. They last one to three minutes and follow the same steps as the text: you can read only the page, or watch only the video.

Language of the app#

The app can be switched to French, English, Arabic, Spanish or Dutch. A few messages (for example some confirmations at the till and on the PIN screen) are not translated yet and still show in French: this documentation gives their meaning in English.

Roles#

RoleWhat they do day to day
ManagerSets up the app, manages the catalogue, stock, team, reads the reports.
CashierTakes orders, gets paid, closes the till.
WaiterTakes orders at the table from the waiter app.
KitchenReceives and prepares orders on the kitchen screen or the printed ticket.

In a small business one person can hold several roles: then read the guides of each.
