A payment method in your name, and Glovo orders

Create a custom payment method (for example Glovo) and add the Glovo button next to Delivery.

Some orders are paid elsewhere: the delivery platform charges the customer and pays you later. QodPOS lets you have a payment method in your name (Glovo, for example) and, optionally, a Glovo order type. The money from these sales never goes into the drawer and is never counted in the cash.

The custom payment method#

In Settings › Modules, card Custom payment method:

  1. Turn the method on (off by default).
  2. In Display name, type the name (30 characters at most; "Glovo" as an example; "Other" if left empty).
  3. Save.

A tile with that name appears on the payment screen, on receipts and on the Z report. The Z shows its line even on a day it was not used. Each sale keeps the name it had: renaming the method does not rewrite past reports.

For tips, this method has its own switch, off by default (see tips).

The Glovo order type#

You need the custom method and the Delivery module. On the same page, card "Glovo" order type: turn on Glovo button shown at the till.

At the counter#

  1. Tap Glovo, next to Delivery, above the cart. The customer, table and pickup name are cleared.
  2. Build the order. An optional Glovo order number field (40 characters) lets you note the platform's number.
  3. Tap Charge: the banner "Glovo order — paid with …" shows. Only the custom method can be selected; the other tiles are greyed out.

On a Glovo order: no split payment, no "On account", no tip.

A delivery finally paid by Glovo#

If you entered the order as Delivery and then tap the Glovo tile, the till asks "Switch to Glovo?" ("Paid with …, this delivery will be filed as Glovo."). Confirm for accurate statistics, or tap Cancel: stay on Delivery.

Refund#

Refunding a sale paid with this method shows "Refunded with …: nothing leaves the drawer."
