The waiter app: getting started
Sign in, understand the floor plan (colours, states, your own tables), "Ready" alerts and the light or dark theme.

The waiter app is made to take the order at the table, on a phone or tablet, without going back to the till. The order reaches the kitchen and the till.
Signing in#
- Open the app's address (or the Serveur icon if you installed it).
- Sign in with your PIN code: see signing in. A waiter lands straight on the waiter app.
The app is on by default ("Waiter app on" in Settings › Modules) and depends on the Waiter App module. Some business types have no waiter app (shop, butcher, coffee shop): you then land on the till. An owner or manager can open it too.
The floor plan#
The Hall service screen shows your tables, sorted by zone ("Hall" if there is none). It refreshes every 10 seconds; the arrows icon refreshes right away.
Reading a tile#
Each tile shows the table's name, its state, the elapsed time and the total ("12m · 85"), and the number of covers if that option is on.

Without a kitchen screen, the legend shrinks to "Busy" and the state becomes Sent.
The purple badge "n ready" at the top counts ready tables. The 🛍 Takeaway button opens a takeaway order with no table.
"Ready" alerts#
- Sound: when a table turns "Ready", the app plays a sound (the bell icon mutes or restores sound in the app). Some browsers require a tap on the screen first.
- Notification: tap Enable on the banner "Enable notifications to be alerted when an order is ready". The "Order ready" message arrives even with the screen locked. The notification goes to all the business's registered devices, not only the table's waiter; tapping it takes a waiter to the waiter app (the kitchen to its screen).
The manager sets sounds and notifications in the settings ("Notification sounds", "Push notifications").
Light or dark theme#
The theme button (top) cycles Dark, Auto, Light. In automatic, the app is light from 7 am to 7 pm (Morocco time), dark afterwards. The choice is remembered on the device. The screen goes full screen on the first tap.
What the waiter app does not do#
The waiter app does not take payment, does no discount or cancellation, and cannot remove an item already sent: all of that is done at the till. The waiter can print the customer receipt (see following an order).
Without internet#
The waiter app needs internet. If the connection drops, nothing is saved: a red message says so when sending; always wait for the "Sent to the kitchen" confirmation.
